The Combined Summer Institute will include strands on how to work with children, age 3 to 21, with autism, blindness/visual impairments, deafness/hearing loss, traumatic brain injury, and multiple disabilities. In addition we have added a full strand on the use of assistive technology in providing instructional programs for these students. The overall focus of the 2010 Institute will be on providing appropriate and successful inclusion of these students in the curriculum through use of team collaboration for each developmental stage and transition.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - MONDAY
{Greg Abell} Greg Abell, Sound Options Group**, will be the keynote speaker on Monday. He will also provide a day-long follow-up presentation on successful teaming Tuesday.**"Sound Options Group, LLC, offers consulting, training, and facilitation services. We help local, statewide and national organizations hold difficult conversations so they can manage change, develop leaders, and build high-performance teams."
Purpose/Attendees
The purpose of the Combined Summer Institute is to provide educators, paraeducators, interpreters, related service providers, administrators, and families of children with autism, hearing and/or vision impairments, traumatic brain injury, or multiple disabilities with updated information on instructional strategies, assessment, intervention, resources, research and networking.
Registration Information
Participants are able to attend any of the sessions offered, addressing more than one disability. Registration and session information will be available April 7, 2010 on this website.
