Refund Policy:
A participant may cancel their registration for a class (session) if:

1) they do so by the first registration deadline, which is provided with the class information; or

2) 24 hours prior to the start of the first class (session). Whichever is earlier.
The cancellation date will typically be the Early Registration deadline. If there is no Early Registration deadline, then the regular registration deadline or 24 hours prior to the start of the first class, will be the cutoff for all refunds, whichever is earlier.

Payment Policy:
esdWorks will no longer accept checks after March 31st, 2008. We can however, easily accept your payment by credit/debit card, electronic check, or school PO.

Clock Hour Policy:
Beginning September 1, 2008 participants will have one year to purchase clock hours for trainings that they have pre-registered for and attended. The one year period will start the last day of the course. Please remember that an on-line evaluation must be completed and submitted prior to purchasing clock hours.

This change takes affect for classes from September 1, 2007 forward, allowing participants to retroactively purchase clock hours. Clock hours for classes attended prior to September 1, 2007 will not be available for purchase.
Participants can go to http://www.ncesd.org log into esdWorks, go to My Account, then Evaluation/Clock Hours. Click on the Evaluation button, complete the evaluation and submit. Go back into My Acct then Evaluation/Clock hours and click on the Purchase Clock hour button. All payments are made online.
NOTE: Participants must have been pre-registered for the class for the class information to be available.

Appeal Process for Purchase of Clock Hours
If you need to purchase clock hours after the 1 year deadline, you must submit a written appeal for consideration to the NCESD Registrar.

When submitting an appeal, the following documentation must be submitted for consideration:
  • A personal statement detailing your circumstance and how it caused you to miss the 12 month deadline. Be sure to include your contact information including email and phone number. The personal statement should be thorough and sincere.
  • Documentation that shows you were registered and attended the class session. This could be your session registration confirmation, and attendance confirmation email.
All appeals will be reviewed by the NCESD Registrar’s office and clock hour appeal committee. One of the following outcomes is possible:
  • The appeal is approved and you will be able to purchase clock hours after completing the session evaluation.
  • The appeal is denied due to insufficient records to show you attended the session.

Please keep in mind that transcripts will be mailed to all 29 NCESD school districts in September of each year.
If you require additional transcripts showing clock hours, you can purchase them from the ESD by submitting: - a written request with your certification number,
- $8.00 and
- the address where you would like the official transcript mailed.
If you have any questions, please call the NCESD Registrar’s office at 665-2621.
