Applications for the Early Learning, English Language Arts, and Mathematics Fellows Program due
May 19 @ 5:00 pm
Do You Want to Be a Fellow?
Complete an application by May 19, 2017 to be considered for the Early Learning, English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science Fellows programs offered through OSPI and the AESD. Patty Iniguez, Math Fellows Coordinator for the NCESD, thinks that “[the Fellows program] is a great way to collaborate with other teachers around the region in supporting students with a mathematical mindset. Fellows also helps build teacher leadership in all four content areas.”
Our current 2016-2017 Fellows have just wrapped their sessions for the year. Michele Fancher, Tonasket MS ELA Teacher, has the following to say about her experience as a Fellow: “The Fellows program gave me the platform to share, learn, and collaborate with others in regards to helping our students achieve success in the classroom. This year, Science Fellow Cari Haug and I were given the release time to put together our collaboration efforts in merging our ELA and Science contents, then share with the Literacy Network and other schools in the region. With opportunities like this we are not only able to share our ideas, but we also get to learn from other teachers and their experiences. Fellows has given us a voice and chance to work beyond our classrooms, and help all of our students succeed while forming professional relationships with teachers across the state.”
How to Apply
