About

The North Central Washington Migrant Education Regional Office (MERO 171) serves the districts in the North Central ESD region, non-project migrant districts located in the northeast portion of the state, and the migrant projects in the Othello, Lind and North Franklin School Districts.

Our professional resource team assists teachers and other school personnel to integrate promising practices into the classroom. The focus is on enhancing English language literacy and higher achievement in reading, math and other content areas for all students, including migrant/bilingual students.

Our Parent Services Coordinator works with districts to help schools engage migrant parents as partners in their children's education. Parent Involvement is empowering parents as the primary educators of their children and to support them to actively participate and interact with district personnel.

Our goal is to assist school district staff in their efforts to improve migrant student achievement by providing high quality professional development opportunities and technical assistance. We look forward to hearing from you!
