Liberty Bell Student Receives Award at "State of the Art" Superintendent's High School Art Show
The 34th Annual Superintendent's High School Art Show was held May 18, 2007, at OSPI. Nine regional art shows were held in each of the nine Educational Service District regions, January through April. One hundred and sixteen (116) winning pieces were then forwarded to the state exhibit where they became eligible to compete as one of nine State Winners, to be a part of the OSPI's permanent high school art collection and receive a $200 purchase award.
Katherine Stromberger, from Liberty Bell High School in the Methow Valley School District, was honored with one of the "Best of Show Winners." Her Self Portrait received a special Certificate of Recognition.
A special recognition award was presented to Terri White, Wenatchee Valley Museum, who directs the Region 171 Art Show, and North Central ESD, who helps sponsor the show.
