This website has been developed by a healthy schools team in Washington state to identify resources to help students, parents, school and district officials, and community members work together to make it easier for children to choose health-promoting foods, be physically active, and be ready to learn at school.

- Steps to a Healthier US
This is the home site of The Steps grants that is a 5-year cooperative agreement program that funds States, cities, and tribal entities to implement chronic disease prevention efforts focused on reducing the burden of diabetes, overweight, obesity, and asthma and addressing three related risk factors: physical inactivity, poor nutrition, and tobacco use.
