SUMMARY:Planning for Student Social\, Emotional and Behavioral\, and Mental Health Recognition\, Screening\, and Response
DESCRIPTION:OverviewWashington K-12 school districts are required by RCW 28A.320.127 to adopt a plan to screen\, recognize\, and respond to student indicators of social\, emotional\, behavioral\, and mental health (SEBMH) such as\, but not limited to\, sexual abuse\, substance use\, violence\, or youth suicide. OSPI has created a Model District Template (2022) districts can use to guide their planning. Shelley Seslar\, Behavioral Health Navigator at NCESD\, will facilitate this overview session\, and is available to assist your district or building in SEBMH planning work at any time. Please contact her for assistance.
