About November’s Event
Presentation by: Brian Johnson, President of 7 Minute Security
In this session, Brian will demonstrate some common attacks that he uses during penetration testing engagements, so that session attendees can better understand how to test their own SIEM.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand common Active Directory and Network attacks that go undetected by SIEMS
- Understand how to use open source tools to recreate these attacks on your own network.
- Feel comfortable running a SIEM through several technical/security tests to gauge its effectiveness
Brian Johnson is the president of 7 Minute Security, which specializes in security assessments, penetration testing, and training. He is especially passionate about teaching others about security, and hosts a weekly podcast to help consumers and businesses strengthen their security posture. When he isn’t camped out behind a keyboard, he enjoys indoor skydiving and outdoor activities with his family, as well as singing and playing guitar in an acoustic duo.
