Media Services are provided for public and private schools in the North Central ESD service area. These services are curated and purchased as a regional group to save districts on purchasing individually. The following products are part of NCESD’s Media package:
Infobase Learning has brands such as Facts On File, Credo, Films On Demand, Learn360, The World Almanac® for Kids, Vault Law, Firsthand, The Mailbox®. Thousands of streaming titles are available to clients via Learn360. The Learn360 video streaming service was designed specifically for schools to enhance the learning experience of students. Learn360 uses the latest technologies to deliver the highest quality K-12 content via the Internet.
Gale is a global provider of research and learning. This is a valuable resource offered to our Media Services clients for access to online research databases. Gale develops essential, curriculum-aligned content that empowers educators to solve curriculum challenges, keep students engaged in learning, and help schools curate a virtual eBook library. Today, this includes supporting distance and social and emotional learning (SEL) as well as equity and inclusion goals.
World Book Online is an engaging, verified, and trustworthy digital resource for grades pre-K through high school.
Mackin features the largest PK-12 collection of age-appropriate print and digital titles. They offer print books, in all bindings, eBooks, audiobooks, Read-Alongs, educational videos, and online databases. Mackin manages a growing selection of over 3.5 million print titles and nearly 3 million digital titles.
