Overview
This three-hour professional learning opportunity is for instructional paraeducators, K-12. Participants will Identify equitable and inclusive strategies that can be used to support a positive and safe learning environment including de-escalation strategies. This course covers 3 of the required 28 units of study hours that align with the FCS learning objectives.
Objectives:
- Identify specific roles in support of classroom management and student discipline
- Define the philosophy of an inclusive and equitable learning environment
- Identify equitable and inclusive strategies that can be used to support a positive and safe learning environment including de-escalation strategies
