Overview
This three-hour professional learning opportunity is for instructional paraeducators, K-12. Participants will identify the communication skills required for working with team members. Identify strategies used to initiate and receive feedback regarding student learning and/or personal performance and describe ways to apply conflict resolution strategies.This course covers 3 of the required 28 units of study hours that align with the FCS learning objectives.
Objectives:
- Identify the communication skills required for working with team members
- Explain the importance of decision making as it applies to school-based teams and explain the four stages of developing effective teams
- Describe questioning strategies which improve performance, productivity and clarify misunderstandings
