What is Educational Technology

Instructional technology support for districts can be broken down into a few tiers: infrastructure, onboarding, integration, innovation, and transformation. It starts with getting devices and programs into the hands of key stakeholders and making sure the fundamentals of technology usage and best practice are in place.

North Central ESD supports districts in this by providing consultation on purchases, hands-on support and training, and long-term systemic planning for technology integration. To build on that, NCESD provides a wide range of services centered around transforming lessons to provide students with authentic, rigorous, and engaging learning experiences. We are committed to providing our districts with on-site and flexible support to meet their individual needs.

Closing the equity gap on access to consistent and ongoing high quality professional development and support is the mission of instructional technology not only at NCESD but state-wide. With the proper support, teachers can be provided with the tools and coaching necessary to truly meet the needs of all levels of learners. We want our students to be critical consumers of information, powerful communicators of ideas, and dynamic problem-solvers in real world scenarios.
