NCESD Board Welcomes Newly Appointed Board Member, Robert Shacklett, Serving Sections of Okanogan County
Shacklett comes to the NCESD board of directors from a longtime career in education, including 32 years as a teacher and 10 years as a high school principal. He was with the Okanogan School District for 25 years. He also served and chaired state committees for the Association of Washington School Principals in Professional Development and Student Leadership.
“Mr. Shacklett’s 42 years of dedication to education, including decades as a high school principal and teacher, make him an incredible asset to our NCESD Board,” said NCESD Superintendent Michelle Price. “His deep understanding of the Okanogan region and his leadership experience with state committees align perfectly with our mission to serve and support school districts. We are excited to welcome his insight and passion for student success.”
North Central ESD covers just over 12,600 miles and provides services to schools in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant Counties, serving over 42,000 students. The Board is composed of seven regionally elected members including: Robert Shacklett (District 1 Representative), Dr. Michael Musick (District 2 Representative), Cathi Nelson (District 3 Representative), Larry MacGuffie (District 4 Representative), Mary Kunkle (District 5 Representative), Marcia Henkle (District 6 Representative), Susan Albert (District 7 Representative).
