Students Exhibit Artwork at 47th Annual Regional High School Art Show
The annual Regional High School Art Show opened at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center on Friday, March 6. The exhibit showcases pieces submitted by students from high schools across North Central Washington, with the “Best in Show” selections advancing to statewide competition in Olympia in April. The show is made possible through partnerships with Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center, North Central Educational Service District, and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Judges announced the recipients of the Regional Awards during an awards reception on Saturday, March 14 at the museum. During the judging process, judges looked closely at all the art, judging for first place, second place, third place, and honorary mention in each category. Students’ names and schools were concealed during this process.
In addition, Central Washington University awarded ten students with scholarships. These students were selected by Gregg Schlanger, Dean of Art & Design at Central Washington University.
