NCESD Hosts Math Breakthrough Network

On September 24, the North Central ESD hosted the first convening of the Math Breakthrough Network in Wenatchee with teams from the Cashmere, Chelan, Ephrata, and Quincy School Districts.

The focus of the Math Breakthrough Network is to strengthen math achievement in grades 3-5 by bringing together school-based teams to engage in a structured improvement process anchored in strong Tier 1 instruction, increased teacher capacity, instructional leadership, and systemwide supports.

Through regular convening, the network will help schools achieve measurable improvement in student growth and proficiency, increase the number of students on track for Algebra I success, and create a coherent, sustainable system of instructional leadership practices that improve math outcomes across the region.
