The Bridge is a therapeutic day school designed for students who experience behavioral, social-emotional, mental health, and self-regulation complexities that significantly impact their ability to consistently access and participate in their educational program.
Placement at The Bridge is determined through an Individualized Education Program (IEP) team process, in collaboration with families and district partners, to ensure the program is an appropriate match between student needs and the services and supports provided.
The Bridge uses a structured, relationship-based, and skill-focused learning environment. Students who benefit from this setting are able to access daily instruction, engage in guided social-emotional learning, practice new skills, and participate in supported reflection and problem-solving with individualized supports and accommodations.
Students who thrive at The Bridge typically benefit from:
- Structured routines and consistent expectations
- Supportive, relationship-based environments
- Explicit instruction in regulation and coping strategies
- Guided practice in communication and problem-solving skills
- Individualized behavioral and social-emotional supports (BIPs)
- Opportunities to practice skills in real-time school settings
Academic abilities vary, and instruction is individualized to support meaningful engagement and growth. Students are supported through predictable routines and explicit instruction in self-regulation, communication, problem-solving, and engagement skills.
*Please note that there are mature tree nut-bearing trees on our campus and near the entrance of our building. Exposure to nuts, shells, pollen, and other tree materials may occur throughout the year.
