Recently, NCESD trainers completed a GLAD® training in Manson School District in a third-grade classroom and included teachers from Brewster, Tonasket, Cascade, and Lake Chelan. In this short week of instruction teachers saw students develop voice, practice responsible decision-making, problem solving, and other social emotional competencies as they worked in teams and individually.

Every month, superintendents from around the region gather at the North Central ESD for the Superintendent Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting. These meetings provide district leaders an opportunity to discuss current happenings across the region and state, collaborate on initiatives, and continue their own professional learning and leadership development.

The Science in Our Valley seminar series began in October 2017 as a way for local scientists and science educators to bring their research to the community and as a way to engage and connect with one another. The series features presentations by local scientists and science educators as well as guests from outside the region.
