6-hour self-paced online training to support teacher self-care and classroom climate

Following the global pandemic period we have all endured, our school staff have been through a lot, both at work and in their personal lives. Their well-being is a high-priority on our minds, just as is the well-being of our students and their families.

An excellent resource to offer our teaching staff to support their well-being is TeacherWiSE (aka Teacher Well-being in School Environments), originally developed by the WISE Center at Georgetown Hospital with support from the National Center for School Mental Health at the University of Maryland. The TeacherWiSE materials have been published previously in PDF format. Now, newly-created in the past year is an online course for teachers to work through the TeacherWiSE material in a self-paced, 6-hour training, including a companion workbook and certificate of course completion.

For students’ wellbeing, there are also ClassroomWISE materials (aka Classroom Well-being Information & Strategies for Educators). More information about ClassroomWISE can be found here.
