Frequently Asked Questions

If you are unable to attend the resume workshop, here are some resources on effective resume building:

Any youth over the age of 14 who is actively seeking employment can attend the YES event.

While young adults under the age of 14 will not be excluded from participating in this event, most employers with minor work permits typically hire candidates for 14 or older. Anyone that is under the age of 14 will have the opportunity to ask questions directly with employers and participate in any employer presentations throughout the summit.

Yes, youth will get the most out of this event by logging into their own device and separate account on the Brazen platform. This allows any attendee to follow application hyperlinks and/or submit their resume for potential work opportunities.

If Educators choose to project the presentations in their classrooms or library, we suggest that the students have access to Chromebooks, or computers, so they can register and attend the actual event so they can explore employer booths and submit applications or resumes to employers if they are looking for work. If they don’t have access to register individually, teachers need to make sure students have some way to grab application information from employers.

Attendees must register by Tuesday, April 11 2022. Attendees can register on our event platform (Brazen.)

No! They can drop in anytime of the summit and are encouraged to attend during the time(s) that fit their schedule.
