Level 2 Threat Assessment Training (Zoom)

This 2-hour, virtual Student Threat Assessment (STA) training will cover the essential concepts of the Salem-Keizer Threat Assessment System, and will clarify the roles of local experts who are eager to support the safety and well-being of our schools and community.

Level 1 Threat Assessment Training

Threat Assessment Training, Level 1, including direct instruction on conducting Level 1 threat assessments at a school level, and the process for referral to a community-based Level 2 threat assessment support team.

Restorative Justice Practices

District teams are invited to join trainer Dr. Angela Brooks for this two day Restorative Practices Training. Restorative practices help to build community, celebrate accomplishments, transform conflict, rebuild relationships that have been harmed, and reintegrate students who have been suspended or expelled.

Marzano Teacher Overview Training (Zoom)

This one day synchronous/asynchronous workshop overview is designed for certificated teachers. Participants will learn the Marzano Instructional Framework language and interdependence of domains/components, the alignment of the framework to the state criteria, what evidence looks and sounds like, and understand equitable teaching practices.

PECS Level 1 Training

This intensive 13-hour interactive workshop is designed to teach educational and caregiver teams the theory and protocol for the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), an evidence-based practice based on Applied Behavior Analysis, typical language development, and B.F. Skinner’s Verbal Behavior.

Project GLAD Research & Theory Workshop

Accelerate Learning and Amplify Instruction for Multilingual Learners. In this class you will learn about the research that supports the model while examining the teaching strategies in depth.

2023 NCW College & Career Expo – Grant County

Educators and local industry professionals will introduce students to a wide variety of work experiences that engage, train and inspire future careers in high-demand fields with regional employers.

STAR Program Comprehensive Workshop

This comprehensive two-day workshop provides participants with detailed examples and practice activities on how to implement the evidence-based practices identified in the National Standards Report (2009).
