Electricity Production in Washington State for Secondary Students

The course is designed to engage students in learning how decisions are made while considering tradeoffs and stakeholders. Students learn about various forms of energy production and formulate which form of energy best meets the needs for Dakota Brown, a fictitious environmental engineer looking to relocate to a new state. This course acts as an introduction to learning about engineering design, alternative energy, or physical science concepts.

Science In Our Valley: Sensitivity to Postharvest Fungicides

Science in Our Valley seminar presentations are intended for a ‘science-based’ audience, including researchers, postdoctoral scientists, teachers, graduate students, undergraduate scientists, and science enthusiasts.

Early Learning Connection: Sensory Regulation

Gathering for all Early Learning partners to engage in shared learning opportunities: Participants will be able to define sensory regulation - what it is and strategies for maintaining an appropriate level of alertness to interact with their environment. Appropriate early childhood strategies will be discussed as well as resources and research presented during this session.

Level 1 Threat Assessment Training and Learning Lab

Threat Assessment Training, Level 1, including direct instruction on conducting Level 1 threat assessments at a school level, and the process for referral to a community-based Level 2 threat assessment support team.

Introduction to Vision Services for ESIT Providers

Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) providers will learn from Vision teachers about services to children and families enrolled in the ESIT program. IFSP services and strategies will be discussed as well as opportunities for team planning.

Project GLAD® Demonstration

A Project GLAD® Demonstration is a four-day, in-classroom observation of the model and strategies. Trainers will provide a guided demonstration of Project GLAD® strategies.
